MEET THE TEAM
Mark Rengers
Mark began his career in industrial arts and architecture, teaching architectural drafting, design, and cabinetmaking. After a successful run in the field, he followed his passion for the arts and purchased The Sewickley Frame Shop in 1999, renaming it the Sewickley Gallery and Frame Shop.
Established through a lifelong study of art and a humble Pittsburgh perspective, he has built a space that celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and the connection between artists and the community.
Melanie Vera
Melanie joined the team in August of 2022 with a mission to both steward and grow the gallery’s vision. Her connection to the arts began early in childhood, studying in small hometown studios where she first developed a lifelong curiosity for creative expression. That passion evolved into a professional practice, leading her to exhibit works in local to national exhibitions.
Melanie holds a BFA in Fine Arts and an MA in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins, blending artistic practice with expertise in curation and gallery operations.
Karen Feola
Karen is our rock! Karen came to us in 2001 with twenty years of experience in the framing industry and an Associate's Degree in Commercial Art. Her expertise in design, visual hierarchy, color theory, and preservation is a key asset in all our framing projects. When not working at the gallery, Karen spends her free time crafting cosplay accessories and caring for her many pets.
Todd Double
Todd joined the team in June of 2024 and quickly became the hands-on force behind all frame construction, bringing both precision craftsmanship and a creative eye to every project. Todd also uses his creative and analytical brain as an assemblage artist, where he experiments with mechanical and electrical possibilities. You can view his work here. When not creating artwork or working alongside the team, Todd loves cooking and spending time with his family.
